Edie was born and raised in our neighboring riverfront city of Palatka, is half Minorcan and proud of her heritage. In addition to being intimately familiar with property on and surrounding the beautiful St. Johns River, she spent summers at a family-owned home in Crescent Beach where she developed a love and appreciation for St. Augustine, its beaches and its rich history.
Edie has an extensive background in procurement, sales and marketing. In addition to working many years in contracts and procurement for a State agency, she also has five years with Sprint Nextel as an outside sales representative. She also is extremely knowledgeable in the home building process having been the “general contractor” during the construction of her own home.
Edie currently sits on the Palatka Planning Board and is actively involved with “Revitalize Historic Palatka”. She loves her small, historic town and now lives in a mid-century home that has wonderful charm with her two cats, Grady and Gracie. She loves the beach, reading, gardening and kayaking the many rivers in North Florida. Edie’s message to sellers and buyers interested in the St. Augustine area is “It would be my pleasure to assist you with all of your real estate needs. I look forward to working with you.”
Edie lost her only child, Clint, to a drug overdose on December 23, 2014 at the age of 23. Clint had just completed rehab and was living in a sober living facility in South Florida when he died. Not wanting Clint to have died in vain she chose to break the silence to try and rid the addict the stigma that he or she lives under. Edie started “Clint’s Crusade for Drug Prevention and Education” to encourage families to speak out and share. Drugs do not discriminate.
